Top 15 Colleges with Tuition Under $20k
Cost plays a significant role in choosing a college and is the subject of many discussions. The latest addition to our rankings for the year ahead is an article highlighting the best schools that won’t cost a fortune.
To compile this list, we looked at the schools on our general rankings, which reported a minimum of $20,000 for tuition fees outside the state. (So without room and board or other costs). We have excluded US military colleges since they pay tuition for students.
As a parent would like the best school, you can give your child. If you’re in school, you could be thinking of the possibility of attending an Ivy League college or one of the top private colleges that offer world-class education.
There’s also the sticker shock. Stanford University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology each cost $58,000 annually to cover tuition and fees, with rooms and food not included. At Vanderbilt University, it’s $60,000-plus.
A good college education does not have to cost several hundred thousand dollars into the bank. promalayalam analyzed the 2022 Best National University Rankings list from U.S. News & World Report to determine the 25 top-ranked schools with costs and tuition for the 2022-23 school term less than $20,000. The list features several of the country’s top public universities, among the top 70 in the magazine’s ranking.
